The Book I'm Most Thankful For

Beth Revis is hosting an awesome contest, asking bloggers to talk about the books they're most thankful for. For me, it's a no-brainer...Misery by Stephen King.

Misery is the first novel I read by Stephen King, and I remember finishing it on the bus on the way home from school my sophomore year. I was absolutely horrified by it--but completely intrigued at the same time. Over the years I've managed to work my way through most of Stephen's astounding collection and still make it a point to purchase each book he writes.

I truly think that I wouldn't be the voracious reader I am today if I hadn't picked up Misery!

Enjoy your reading!

  1. Misery is definitely one of his best. It's one of my favorites. I love almost everything he's written, but I particularly like Misery because of how realistic and psychologically horrifying it is. Have you seen the movie? I assume you have, but if not, you need to. Kathy Bates does an amazing job as Annie. And James Caan is super-gorgeous as Paul Sheldon.
