In My Mailbox (14): early edition

In My Mailbox is an Internet meme hosted by The Story Siren to share new books received, purchased, or borrowed.

I don't know about you guys, but I generally work on my IMM during the week, so I don't forget to post anything. So I'm typing this draft on Monday evening. I came home from work today to find SEVEN packages waiting for me. SEVEN. One of them was a gift I'd ordered for my mom, and two were gifts from dear friends (that went right under the tree, so as of this writing I don't know what's in them), but four packages were all book related, and they were all won!

Packages #1 & 2: Won from PAYA Auction
I won the Elizabeth Scott package, which was a signed copy of Grace and a second copy of my choosing. I chose Living Dead Girl, naturally (while a difficult read, it's definitely one of my faves). For some reason (but I'm not complaining!) I got two packages--one with Grace and Love You, Hate You, Miss You (which I've already read & loved) and the second one had Living Dead Girl and Stealing Heaven (which I haven't yet read). Squee!!!

Here's a pic of the autograph inside :

Package #3: Won from a contest over at A Life Bound By Books: The Jumper Chronicles: Quest for Merlin's Map by W.C. Peever

OMG Can you stand it?? To be honest, I entered this contest for my daughter months ago and promptly forgot all about it. She happened to be standing there when I opened it and spotted this, which means I have ZERO chance of getting any of the candy:
Here's a closeup of the candy, all from Dylan's Candy Bar:
This is such an awesome prize, and I'm so happy I (i.e., my daughter) won LOL I'd wanted to meet Wendy at the Collingswood Book Festival, but didn't get the chance.

But wait! There's more! Books I borrowed from the library:
--Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
--Rosebush by Michele Jaffe
--The Gift (Witch & Wizard #2) by James Patterson

Will probably post a separate IMM for any books I receive for Christmas, so stay tuned!

Enjoy your reading!

  1. What an awesome week! I love getting packages in the mail. So jealous that your library has ANNA...I keep checking mine and nothing so far. I may have to buy it :) I feel like it will be a good one to keep on my shelf.

  2. @Jessica: thanks for the comment. What my library chooses to purchase surprises me sometimes. Anna was in the system as a pre-order for a while, but Courtney Summers' Fall for Anything has completely fallen under Collections' radar, for some reason.

  3. Wow, congrats on your win, that's so exciting! And you got signed books, that's even better:) Enjoy all your spoils!
