As you may recall, Lessons From a Dead Girl by Jo Knowles is #2 on my list of the Most Awesomely Horrifying Reads Of All Time (better known as My MAHROAT). The #1 spot is reserved for Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott, and Such a Pretty Girl by Laura Wiess currently resides in the #3 spot.

and well I recently read a book called Spoon-Fed Addiction by Silvano Velez it was one of the most creepiest and disturbing books I've ever read I do admit it took me some time to get into it and was about to give up on it--but it ended up being pretty good
also I've read Dark Song by Gail Giles!!and OMG! it just made my list of best books read on 2011!

Thanks for the giveaway! I don't usually read "horrifying" books but I like reading just about anything that's well-written. The only books that I can think of that might come close to what you're wanting are the ones by Carol Plum-Ucci - The Body of Christopher Creed and, even more so, The She.

I have to ask if one or two people have read your post! I'd suggest The Chosen One by Carol Lynch Williams - I haven't read it yet but it's about a 13 year old girl who grows up in a cult, her father has 3 wives and they're run by a man they call 'The Prophet'. The Prophet then declares that she will become the 7th wife of her 60 year old Uncle and I'm guessing she decides to run away!

I also second the vote for Christopher Pike's books. I devoured his stuff growing up. My favorites were Remember Me, Fall into Darkness and Last Act.
ReplyDeleteI also have to vote for Flowers in the Attic by V. C. Andrews. Actually, I find that whole series to be creepy. I secretly still love "her" books, but the Dollanger story is the most twisted of them all.
